The second wave of COVID-19 has hit India hard. Looking at the worsening situation, many states across India have imposed a lockdown. While this is a great way to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it poses an issue for those people who want to get their smartphones and electronics repaired, especially for the people whose device’s warranty is expiring soon. Well, if you own a smartphone from Xiaomi, POCO, OPPO, or Vivo, you don’t have to worry about the warranty getting lapsed during the lockdown period as these brands have extended the warranty period on their productsΒ in the light of the COVID-19 lockdown.

extended warranty for your device

Xiaomi offers two months of extended warranty

Xiaomi has announced that it is extending the warranty on all its products by two months. The extended warranty period is applicable to those devices whose warranty is ending in May or June this year.

POCO offers two months of extended warranty

POCO has taken a similar decision as Xiaomi. The company has announced that it is extending the warranty by two months for those products whose warranty is ending in May 2021 or June 2021.

OPPO is extending the warranty on all its products till 30th June 2021

OPPO has taken a slightly different approach compared to Xiaomi and POCO. The company has announced that it will be extending the warranty on all of its products till 30th June 2021. It means that if your OPPO device is under warranty at the moment but the warranty is ending somewhere in May or June, it will be extended till 30th June 2021.

Vivo is offering 30 days of extended warranty

Vivo has come up with a unique policy. According to the brand, if the warranty expiry date of your Vivo product falls under the lockdown period, the company will extend the warranty on it by 30 days. The 30-day extension period will be calculated from the day when a service center (in your area) resumes business.
