    Camera

OnePlus 8 comes with three cameras – one of it is just a 2-megapixel macro sensor and the other camera is a 48-megapixel primary camera which is used in the 8 Pro ultra-wide camera. It also has a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. OnePlus 8 Pro is equally good when it comes to camera. In fact, this one is a step ahead with a primary camera along with an ultra-wide camera, both featuring 48-megapixel Sony sensors.

It also comes with an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that has 3x optical zoom and can zoom up to 30x digitally. Plus, it has a 5-megapixel new image sensor called the colour filter lens , which supports lighting effects and filters for photography. A common feature in both the variants is the 16-megapixel front facing camera.

    Battery Life

    Battery Life

OnePlus has always maintained its reputation when it comes to battery life. The 8 variant comes with a 4,300-mAh battery, which is bigger than the 3,800-mAh battery in OnePlus 7T, while the 8 Pro comes with a 4,510-mAh battery. This is the biggest OnePlus has ever put in a handset. If your eyes are on the 8 Pro, the good news is OnePlus has finally added wireless charging support to this variant with the new Warp Charge 30. The brand claims it can charge the 8 Pro from 1% to 50% in just half an hour.

    Design

    Design

OnePlus 8 is beautifully designed with waterfall display edges that comes with a 6.55-inch display and thin bezels at the top and bottom, while the 8 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The 8 variant has a slightly smaller, full HD+ resolution display but when set to its maximum resolution, the 8 Pro appears sharper.

    Performance

    Performance

The 8 variant packs a Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with a Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity. You can choose from the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 8 Pro too has a Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with a Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity. However, the 8 Pro offers better performance and is faster as compared to the 8 variant. It refreshes at a rate of 120Hz, which ensures a smooth scrolling and browsing experience. Besides this, the phone also comes with an LPDDR5 RAM, which promises faster speed with less impact on the battery life.

    Price & Availability

    Price and Availability

OnePlus 8 price for the base variant is Rs 41,999 for 6GB + 128GB variant, while the OnePlus 8 price for 8GB + 128GB variant is Rs 44,999 , and Rs 49,999 for 12GB + 256GB model. On the other hand, the OnePlus 8 Pro price for the 8GB + 128GB variant is Rs 54,999 and Rs 59,999 for 12GB + 256GB model. The smartphones are currently available on Amazon India through a special limited sale. You can also buy the device from the OnePlus website.

Smartphones are now getting sleeker, lighter and more delicate. If you are planning to buy one of these variants, do not forget to buy a OnePlus damage protection plan or an extended warranty plan. In case you accidentally damage the smartphone, fixing the phone can cost you a hefty fee, especially if the phone’s display is cracked.

With the Onsitego Spills & Drops Protection Plan, you can save on repair costs. The plan covers any kind of physical or liquid damage caused to the device and needs to be purchased on the same day you buy the smartphone. As far as the extended warranty plan is concerned, it covers all the defects and malfunctions as covered in a standard manufacturer’s warranty. It can be purchased anytime within 6 months of buying the smartphone.
